When a guest makes a reservation for a stay at the Roaring River Chalets, we agree to turn away all other requests for the room you select and you agree to pay the rate quoted for the number of days you reserve it. A deposit is charged to the credit card provided of 50% of the booking or one night’s lodging, whichever is greater. The balance of the charges will be made upon the last date for cancellation without penalty or the entire amount charged at time of booking if reservation is made within 14 days of arrival.

Because of our size and location, cancellations affect us significantly. Therefore, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy. If a cancellation is made less than 15 days prior to the arrival date (30 for holidays, groups and special events), regardless of the reason, you will be charged for the entire reservation. The only exception that can be made is if we successfully rebook your room for all the original room nights of your reservation or for cancellations made 15 (or 30 as above) days or more prior to the arrival date. Reservations cancelled within the penalty time that are successfully rebooked will be transferred to another date of the guest’s choice within 6 months of the original dates booked. Should it be necessary for you to depart earlier than your confirmed reservation dates, you will be responsible for all of the original room nights booked for your intended stay.

Obviously, the Chalets can not be responsible for unused rooms due to late or cancelled airline flights, family emergencies, threat of bad weather and other travel-related mishaps or for changes in plans which shorten your stay. Vacation Insurance is available from several providers online to inexpensively protect you against covered unexpected events.

All cancellations must be confirmed in writing and be assigned a cancellation # to be valid. Messages left on voice mail by the guest are not a confirmed cancellation, please follow up with an email and request your cancellation # to print out for your records.

The Roaring River Chalets provides a non-smoking environment for the comfort of our guests. Smoking in the rooms will result in a $75.00 cleaning charge plus an additional night's charge to air out the rooms. Please make your companions aware of this. Smoking is not permitted in any of our rooms (unless designated) at any time, however you may smoke outside.
