The Appalachian Cultural Museum
Experience the premiere museum of the Appalachian region. Blowing Rock Art and History Museum
Our mission is to promote the visual arts and history and to celebrate the rich heritage of the mountains. The Board of Directors of the museum is currently engaged in planning for a permanent building to be completed in Blowing Rock by 2008.

Frescoes of Ashe County

The Churches of the Frescoes in Ashe County provide some beautiful works of art. Created by artist Ben Long, the frescoes in Ashe draw thousands of visitors each year. Visitors can see the frescoes at the Holy Trinity in Glendale Springs or at St. Mary's in West Jefferson.

Moses Cone Estate and Parkway Craft Center

At the turn of the century, Moses and Bertha Cone built their home here to have the natural beauty of the mountains at their front door. Today, their grand manor is home to abundant natural beauty of its own.
